This half term in Food Technology, pupils have been looking at food commodities.


The Year 7s were learning about eggs and its function in food, making rock cakes, jammy dodgers, meringues and Victoria sponge cake. Year 8s were learning about poultry and made chicken and bacon pasta, chicken tikka masala and a chicken shish kebab.

Then, the Year 9s were learning how eggs cook and coagulate to hold a product together when making small cakes, Spanish potato omelette and poached eggs.
