Our Discover pathway is:

for pupils who need a clear structure but subject specific learning .

planned by class teachers

sequenced to ensure that knowledge and skills to builds cumulatively, overlearning and moving from simple to complex concepts over time.

delivered through a more formalised approach of explicit teaching of core subjects taught by subject specialists, including English, Maths, Science, Cookery and PE. Inquiry based approach to non-core subjects including history, geography, PSHE and RE.
Pupils are supported to transition between subjects and teaching staff, to prepare them for their future options in order to build positive relationships and resilience.
