Groundswell Project Visit

This week Gilbert Ward Academy were visited by Groundswell Project. They are a community project group whose mission is to build stronger, more resilient communities where people feel supported, connected, and protected from harm.

They delivered sessions to the Key Stage 3 classes, focussed on online safety. These sessions helped pupils understand how to protect themselves from dangers online and gave rise to lots of interesting and thought provoking discussions.

They also stayed to deliver a session for parents and carers to help them to understand the best ways to keep pupils safe from harmful online content and contact.
