Gilbert Ward Academy Shines in Cross Country Debut at Temple Park

Gilbert Ward Academy made an impressive entrance into the regional cross country scene with their debut appearance at Temple Park, South Shields. Pupils from Year 8 through to 11 showcased determination, enthusiasm, and outstanding sportsmanship as they competed against schools from across the region. 

The event was marked by a fantastic effort from all participants, with each runner contributing to a memorable day for the academy. Amongst the standout performances, Ben D claimed victory in the Under 14 boys category, while Taylor secured a commendable 4th place finish in the Under 16s.

The atmosphere was electric, with pupils embracing the challenge and enjoying the experience of competing in a large-scale event. Everyone would like to praise the team's spirit and camaraderie throughout the morning.
