(Geography and History)

Humanities is a subject that helps pupils develop their knowledge and understanding of the world and its past. Pupils study geography and history as separate or integrated topics, depending on the key stage and the school's curriculum. Pupils learn about the physical and human features of different places and regions, the causes and consequences of historical events and changes, the similarities and differences between different cultures and societies, and the sources and evidence that inform our understanding of the world and its past. Pupils are assessed on their factual recall, comprehension, analysis, and evaluation skills at each key stage.
